Ignite Ames is an exciting networking opportunity for technologists, DIYers, entrepreneurs, creative professionals, and enthusiastic knowledge seekers. Our mission is to spark imaginations, connect people, create new job opportunities in Iowa and have a lot of fun in the process.
We are looking for both people to talk and attendees. Whether you are an IT professional, Maker, independent entrepreneur, venture capitalist, web guru, motivated student, or just a big geek (like us), you are invited to participate.
If you are personally or professionally passionate about something and can give a 5-minute presentation that highlights:

Ignite Ames will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2010 from 7:00 pm - 11pm at the ISU Research Park Rotunda (2321 North Loop Drive, Ames). The event is free and open to the public, but you must register as an attendee in order to attend or present. We're asking that you be at least 18 years old to attend (alcohol is present), but if you're not and wish you could come, let us know; we may change this in the future.
Ignite as an event concept began in 2006 in Seattle, and now they are worldwide. See example talk videos at Ignite Show and a more background on the concept at the O'Reilly Ignite Site.
